Top NU ITS Projects

In NU ITS, our top initiatives are carefully selected to align with the 福利区一区 of Nebraska’s Odyssey to Extraordinary—a strategic vision for advancing excellence across education, research, and service.

Two major projects with important milestones were met in 2025-26. We look forward to completing these two important projects under the our Top Iniaitives in 2026-27.

Future Ready Cloud Collaboration Workspace

The NU System is unifying Microsoft 365 and Active Directories across UNK, UNL, UNO, and NUOP, migrating more than 166,000 accounts and 4 petabytes of data to boost collaboration, security, and future innovation.

Canvas Convergence

The Canvas Convergence project—an NU-wide effort led under the direction of Interim Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. David Jackson—transitions our multiple campus‑specific instances of Canvas into a single, unified environment streamlining how users access courses beginning in Fall 2026.
